You Are Not Here by Accident
An Invitation to Remember Your Light — and Why It Matters Now
Something is shifting.
You can feel it. Most people can. The ground feels unsteady beneath us. Old certainties are dissolving. The news is heavy. The economy is stretching people thin. Relationships are strained. The future feels less predictable than it once did.
And yet.
I keep returning to something I have come to believe: that crisis so often carries within it both danger and opportunity.
We are living in a time of crisis. The danger is real. I will not pretend otherwise.
But so is the opportunity.
---
I believe — with everything in me — that you are not alive at this moment by accident.
Not you. Not now. Not in the middle of all of this.
Your inner light is needed. Whether your influence reaches your family, your neighborhood, your classroom, your workplace, or something far broader — it is needed. You matter. This world needs you.
That is what The Inner Lighthouse is about.
Not self-improvement. Not performance. Not becoming a better version of a self you were never meant to be.
Remembering.
Remembering who you are beneath the roles you play, the versions you created, the armor you learned to wear. Remembering the light that has lived within you always — even in the hardest seasons, even when fear has made it feel very far away.
---
I want to tell you something about myself.
I have lived with multiple sclerosis for more than half my life. Over the years I have lost the ability to drive, to walk, to use my hands. I lived in a nursing home for two years before finding a way to come home to be with my family. I need help with virtually every aspect of daily living. I work entirely by voice — these words were spoken before they were written.
Loss has been a companion on this journey. So has adaptation. So has grace. So has humor. How could it not?
And through all of it — through every version of this life I did not plan — I have learned something I could not have learned any other way.
Healing is not the same as cure. Wholeness is not the same as perfect functioning. The light within me has not dimmed because my body has changed.
I am still fully here.
This is my story. You have your own.
Maybe your storms have looked different — a relationship that ended, a career that collapsed, a loss that took your breath away, a slow and quiet erosion of the life you thought you were building. Maybe you have felt lost in ways you couldn't quite name. Maybe the ground has shifted beneath you more than once.
All of our lives include moments of disruption, of pain, of feeling adrift on a sea we did not choose.
That is not weakness. That is being human.
And it is precisely there — in the storm, not above it — that the work of The Inner Lighthouse begins.
Because I am still here, I have work to do. Work I believe I was given to do. Work that emerged through thirty years of experience — years that have included counseling, counselor education, and coaching, woven together across decades of sitting with people in their most difficult and most hopeful seasons.
I have accompanied people through grief and loss, through illness and transition, through the quiet exhaustion of living a life that no longer fits — and through the first tender moments of remembering who they truly are.
That work became The Inner Lighthouse.
---
I look around and I see so many people struggling.
Stretched to make ends meet. Juggling work, family, caregiving, and relationships — often all at once. Exhausted. Longing for something more meaningful. Sensing that there is a deeper life available, but not quite knowing how to find it.
I see people who would benefit enormously from coaching support — and who cannot access it because individual coaching, at the rates it deserves to be offered, is simply out of reach.
I have thought long and carefully about this.
And I have made a decision.
I want to reach as many people as possible. Not just those who can afford private sessions. Not just those with flexible schedules and disposable income. All of us — because all of us are navigating the same ocean, even if our storms look different.
So I am building something. An ecosystem of offerings designed to meet people where they are.

The Inner Lighthouse Community — Two Ways to Belong
For those wanting more consistent connection, learning, and support, I am creating a community within The Inner Lighthouse. Not a program to complete. Not a hierarchy to climb. A harbor — a place where we gather, learn, share, and practice together. Like any good harbor, this one is tended carefully — kept at a size where real relationship is possible and every light is visible.
Every member of this community is equally valued. Whether you find your way into The Harbor or The Lantern Room, you belong. You matter. Your light is needed here.
The Harbor — $59 per month
A harbor is where ships find safety, rest, and one another. It is where lighthouse keepers and sailors meet — where the journey pauses long enough to remember why it matters.
The Harbor includes:
— The monthly public workshop, complimentary for all community members
— An additional monthly workshop exclusively for Harbor and Lantern Room members
— Resources, reflections, and connection opportunities for members to engage with one another
This is a place to receive and extend support. We are all teachers. We are all students. To practice the movements of The Inner Lighthouse not alone, but together.
The Lantern Room — $349 per month
The lantern room is the heart of the lighthouse — where the light actually lives. Intimate. Close to the source. A space for those ready for deeper, more personal support alongside community.
The Lantern Room includes everything in The Harbor, plus:
— One individual coaching session with me each month
This is for those who want not only the warmth of community but also the dedicated space of a one-on-one coaching relationship — a place where your particular story, your specific storms, and your unique light receive personal attention.
The hope — for The Harbor and The Lantern Room alike — is that in community we strengthen our inner light, discover and honor one another's beacons, and carry this wisdom into our own lives in service of a brighter world.
If you are interested in joining The Harbor or The Lantern Room, email me at kittyfallon@me.com and I will be in touch with details.

A Personal Request
I need your help.
Not because I am desperate — but because good work spreads through relationship, and relationship is exactly what The Inner Lighthouse is about.
If something in this writing has spoken to you — if you have thought of someone while reading — please share it with them. Forward this article. Post it. Send it to the person who came to mind.
The lighthouse does not shine for one kind of ship.
It shines for whoever is navigating the sea.
Help me extend the beam.
---
The ground may feel unsteady. The storms are real.
But you are not here by accident.
Your light is needed.
And the beam — your beam — rotates always.
